CHILDREN OF MERCY. Tales and Teachings From The World of Independent Music (Marquette Books, 2011)


       Con este libro podemos estar de enhorabuena, ya que se trata de una recopilación de textos seleccionados entre diversos amantes de la música independiente, con diferentes grados de implicación en ella. Han sido recopilados además para una buena causa: obtener fondos para la asociación Children of Mercy, dedicada a la divulgación y tratamiento de niños con la enfermedad de la fibrosis quística, un mal que afecta al aparato digestivo. El organizador y emprendedor de esta aventura ha sido Ron Trembath, quien también mantiene un contacto con la independencia a través de un varios blog, como Fense Post. Ha tenido el cuidado de seleccionar los textos de gente de distintas zonas del globo, gracias a plataformas como myspace, tanto de bandas como creadores de blogs u otros sectores. Un servidor ha tenido la oportunidad de contactar con él gracias al sello Series Two Records y puse mi granito de arena. Los puntos de vista son diversos y ahí radica el interés de esta recopilación.
